But the events of the past few years have made us realize just how important this task is.
Jason and I have 6 kids, 8 years old and under. We have a busy household, and I know so many of you can relate to that feeling of busy. And stress. Maybe even fear and anxiety this year.
But one thing is clear, there has never been a more important time to make sure our households are rooted and grounded in the Lord. As the world has turned to politics and anger, we must first turn to Christ.
And so when I was sitting down earlier this year to plan the theme for our 8th annual online homemaking conference, I knew it needed to be this:
Homemaking in Light of Eternity.
You see - God cares deeply about our lives as Christians. He cares deeply for the local Church. He wants us to be training up our children in the Lord and for all of us to be in His Word and in prayer.
--> But God also cares for the small everyday details of our life too.
The way that we tackle home management, decisions regarding our kids school options, how we manage our time, and all the mundane moments in between are not outside of what God cares for.
In fact, as women and as families, we need to make sure that we are starting FIRST with Christ and letting that affect our daily lives. We have a responsibility before the Lord to make sure that our entire lives are rooted in the Lord. No detail is too small or insignificant before the Lord.
Bringing glory to God affects every little corner of our life. From our morning Bible study to dealing with patience with our screaming 2 year old. From scrubbing the toilets to dealing with a conflict with a friend. He cares about how we organize our time and what we prioritize.
So this year, we are considering homemaking in light of eternity. How does our response to God affect everything?
Join our 2022 Finding Joy in Your Home Online Conference to hear from some incredible women who will point you back to Christ with Biblical encouragement and thoroughly practical advice.
My name is Jami Balmet, and I'm the host of our 8th annual online Homemaking Conference for Christian women.
I know what it's like to be BURIED, overwhelmed, and even feeling defeated in your home.
But I also know what it's like to discover purpose, joy, and peace again in my life, and that's what we encourage you with in this incredible online event.
This is our 8th annual online homemaking conference! Until now, it's been called the Homemaking Ministries Online Conference but we've rebranded this year. So now we are the Finding Joy in Your Home OC, but you'll still find all the same Gospel Centered, practical goodness from previous years! In fact, this is probably our best year YET!!
There are so many voices screaming at us this year. So many distractions competing for our attention. There are so many hard and scary things. And so many silly and annoying things.
But there is not doubt that the enemy is trying to distract us this year. He would love nothing better than to sow discord among Christians. To distract us from our true purpose and calling in live.
The world may feel topsy turvy right now. But God isn't surprised. He isn't flustered or fretting over current events.
In fact, he has some really important plans in place and He is moving. We just don't always know what that plan is.
I don't think we should be ignorant of what's happening in the world but it needs to all be done through the lense of a Biblical worldview.
That is what this conference is going to aim to do. We are going to kick off the brand new year by looking at our home, our homemaking, and our families in light of eternity.
The sessions this year will be a beautiful blend of extremely Biblical and thoroughly practical.
And we want every single person to be able to attend. So this year we've introduced our pay what you can model. You can find all of the details about it below. We can't wait to worship with you in January and kick off our year with the BEST perspective!
The conference will be live January 10-14, 2022. During that time, you can pop into all of the sessions, community, worship, and more. Here you can see all of the speakers and sessions. This year we will be slowly unveiling the speakers over the next week. So make sure to check back as we add more incredible sessions!!
Opening Session Day #2: THIS is the question we must ask isn't it? What does it mean to glorify God with our time? How do we orient our days so that they bring glory to God AND take care of all the things we are responsible for. This session will help you take all the info from the conference and apply it through the year!
Opening Session Day #3: For the first half of my marriage & parenting journey, mundane moments were my struggle. I had a hard time seeing how the mundane, the boring, the tedious could be used for God's Glory. I couldn't' see the joy in the mundane or the ability to serve God fiercely from a position of mundane. In this session, I'll share my heart for mundane moments and bringing glory to God!
Opening Session Day #4: This is become my mantra in the last few years. God has called our family to some hard things. Some of those hard things we see the blessing in immediately. Others we will don't know why God has called us to walk in that hard. But throughout it all, we will glorify God! In this session, we will DIVE into why hard doesn't necessarily mean bad and how God often uses the hard to do the BEST work!

We’ve all heard it’s important not to take a verse out of context. But what does that even mean … exactly? And how do we know when we’re in or out of context? In this session we’ll explore several different layers of context to consider while studying the Bible — and the tools to help us do it — in order to ensure we’re rightly understanding the Word of God.
As we consider eternity and the priority of winning souls for Christ, our personal health and fitness can feel less important. You might wonder if working out is even important when we consider the fleeing, earthly nature of our bodies compared to the heavenly home where we're headed. Why should we exercise if these bodies are just temporary? How do we make sure we aren't replacing our own strength with that of Christ? Let's talk about spiritually healthy ways to use God's gift of motion in our homes and with our families!

We are testing out a new way to do payments this year. My heart would be to give everyone every resource that they need at anytime. BUT we have a ton of costs to maintain our digital ministry AND this is my husband's full time job. So by purchasing products from us, you keep us producing these amazing products, our podcast, and all we do - thank you!! You are supporting a small business and family
and have allowed us to produce EIGHT of these incredible conferences💕
So for the first time, I want to introduce this concept of paying what you can. The full normal price I would charge for the conference for super early bird tickets is $39.99! Pay that if you can (thank you so much for your support of our ministry). And if you can't, we've got you covered! I've got two other options - pay $29.99 or $19.99 if you can swing it (and thank YOU so much for your support as well). I am hoping to use this model for future conferences as well - but this will be our test to see if it's sustainable.
If you need a full scholarship to the conference, please email me and we can see if we can work it out: [email protected] If you would like to contribute to our scholarship fund, you can purchase the conference twice and then email me to let me know to make a scholarship spot available to someone.
Get full access to the conference - thank you for your support of our ministry!!
Can't afford the full super early bird price? No problem, you can pay us $29.99 for the conference.
A one of a kind community
There is no other resource out there like this for Christian women. It's a fully online conference where Gospel Centered theology meets everyday practical living.
And the best part? You don't have to hire a babysitter, pay for a plane ticket, arrange a hotel, etc. It's all online so you can participate and watch from the comfort of your living room - in your pajamas!
Everything is recorded
One really fun aspect of this conference is getting to participate live with all the other speakers and attendees!
But as a busy mom with six young kids, I know that it's not always realistic or doable to watch along live. So whether you miss one session - or all of them - you can watch along at another time!
We record all the sessions (at NO extra charge) and you get to watch them anytime you want...with lifetime access!
We will open the conference each morning with a time of worship
We introduced this for the first time last year and it was amazing! This year we will be continuing it with worship each morning.
The conference sessions this year are obviously amazing, but the really FUN part of the conference is the private community.
You'll get the chance to interact with all the other attendees and participate in some fun parties and GIVEAWAYS all week long! And for the first time ever, we will NOT be hosting this community on Facebook but rather on our own private community network!! <-- This is going to be a REALLY fun change this year!
Are you curious what an online conference is? Or how to fit listening along into a busy schedule? Watch the video below where I share what this conference is AND some tips for when to listen in (hint hint: While making dinner)!
